Welcome back to the show!!!!I If your just now joining us, we're here interviewing period 1-6 or group 18 of the periodic table of elements!!!!! a.k.a. NOBLE GASES!
Q:Which elements are in your group?
A:Helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon are my groupies!!!!!
Q:O.K., so I know this is kinda a "dumd blond" question but are you and your gruopies solid, liquid, or gas?
A:We are the noble gases!!!!!
Q:What are three of your best physical properties?
A:Being the very hygienic gases we are, we are odorless, colorless, and tasteless.
Q:What are three of your most interesting chemical properties?
A:We've all taken a pledge of celibacy, so we can not be combined withother elements. We are a very reserved group, we have low reactivity. We also have very fast metabolisms so, we have little-no tendency to gain or loose electrons.
Q:What do are 2 common uses for your group?
A:We generally hire our selves out to helium balloons or neon signs.(as pictured below)
Q:What are some interesting facts about your group?
A: One thing that all my elements share isthey are inert, and do not easily form chemical compounds. Sir William Ramsay is the one who discovered 4 of the 6 noble gases. And krypton was the noble gas that was related to the International Commission on Weights and Measures' definition of the standard metre (or meter, as in the unit of length) between 1960 and 1983.
Well, looks like that's all the time we have for today. Tune in tomorrow when we interview the worlds smartest baby! We hope to see you tomorrow!
